07:30The reefs around Tiran are considered among the most beautiful in the Red Sea. Here, you can observe large reef fish, sea turtles, and, with a bit of luck, even wild dolphins in their natural habitat. The visibility and coral formations make this area especially attractive for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
Another major highlight is the presence of historic shipwrecks resting on the reefs, adding a unique atmosphere to the excursion. In the strait between Sharm El Sheikh and Tiran Island lie four legendary coral reefs:
Jackson Reef
Gordon Reef
Woodhouse Reef
Thomas Reef
Named after British naval officers, these reefs (with the exception of Gordon Reef) are characterized by sheer coral walls covered in vibrant marine life.
Two famous shipwrecks can also be seen in this area:
The Panamanian cargo ship Lullia, which ran aground on Gordon Reef in September 1981
The Cypriot vessel Lara, which struck Jackson Reef in December 1981
Together, pristine reefs, abundant marine life, and historic shipwrecks make the Tiran Island Boat Trip an unforgettable experience and a true highlight of any Red Sea vacation.
Dear guests, please note:
Optional diving: + $10 per person for one 10-minute dive (up to 8 meters deep) when booked in advance through the website.
Winter notice: From December to March, this area may experience strong waves, and sea conditions can affect the program.
Our transfer will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 07:30 in the morning (the exact pick-up time will be confirmed after booking) and take you to the port. The transfer usually takes 15 to 40 minutes, depending on your hotel’s location.
At the port, you can rent swimming equipment such as masks, life jackets, fins, and thermal suits (optional). If you have your own snorkeling equipment, you are welcome to bring it with you.
After boarding the yacht and departing the port, you will enjoy scenic views of Sharm El Sheikh from the sea. A safety briefing and an overview of the day’s program will then be provided on board.
Shortly after the briefing, the yacht will make two open-sea stops for swimming and snorkeling, with optional diving available for an additional $10 per person when booked in advance through the website. These stops take place near untouched coral reefs.
Throughout the excursion, you will be accompanied by professional diving and snorkeling guides, as well as photographers (photos are available for purchase at an additional cost). Each stop lasts approximately 30–40 minutes. If you choose not to dive, you can enjoy snorkeling along the reefs or simply relax and sunbathe on the yacht.
After the second stop, a buffet lunch prepared on board will be served while you enjoy panoramic views of Tiran Island — a truly breathtaking setting.
Please note that non-alcoholic drinks, including water, tea, coffee, Sprite, and Coca-Cola, are available throughout the day in unlimited quantities.
After the third stop, the yacht returns to the port, sailing along the coastline and offering panoramic views of Sharm El Sheikh from the sea.
Upon arrival at the port, our transfer will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
The estimated return time is between 17:30 and 18:30.
There is no landing on Tiran Island, as the island is the territory of Saudi Arabia. The excursion is named after the island due to its close proximity and the surrounding reefs.
Children aged 10 and older are charged at the adult price.
